  • Step A:  What integer best describes the penalty during each contest?
  • Step B:  • Use what you know about integers to justify why your answer is correct.  Use words, numbers, and/or symbols in your justification.
  • Suppose Tiffany was rewarded a total of 15 points in the final 4 events. Write an expression that can be used to determine Tiffany’s final score. 4. Step A- -12
    Step B-First,I know there are 6 events.Since there is -2 for each event,so I diveded -12 and 6.So my answer is -12.
Ecr-Since she was rewarded a total of 15 points in the final 4 events,I did +15-(-12) which equals +3.So Tiffany's final score is +3.

  5. Step A:-2 describes the penalty.
Step B:My answer is correct because because you would divide 12 by 6 and get 2 then you took 2 away each time so its a negative.
    ECR:15-12=3

  6. step A: first i know tiffany was in 6 event and she got a -2 for each event so i divided 12 and 6, so my answer is -12

    ECR:since she was given 15 points in the final 4 events i did positive 15 - (-12)which equals +3
